While I’ve explored many mediums over the years, drawing was not on the list of talents I believed I possessed. However, once I joined the bookmaking community, I began to explore all the ways artists fill their books. In 2022, I became aware of the Zentangle Method of drawing, and quickly became completely obsessed. Zentangle is the philosophy of using simple, repetitive strokes to draw complex designs. Zentangle has allowed me to explore drawing in a way I never had before. In April 2023 I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) to be able to share this art with others. I’m also working comprehensively on Celtic knots and the beauty found in their simple complexities.
